Creating an FTP account is easy
Just log into your Helm 4 account and click on the "Domains" icon. The click the link of the domain name you want to create the FTP account for.
On the "Edit Domain" page, click the icon called "FTP Accounts".
If this will be your general FTP account, you only need to enter a username and password. You can leave all the boxes checked and the folder as "/". This will allow you to have all the basic commands to add new folders, delete folders, rename folders, etc.
Click the "Save" button.
That's it! You've created your FTP account.
Now what?
Now open the FTP client of your choice (IE or Firefox are not recommended for FTP) and enter the following information:
Host Name or server: ftp.[your domain name]
User: [your ftp username]
Password: [your ftp password]
Account: / (just enter a forward slash)
If your client has a Transfer Mode setting, make sure it's set to "Active"! The "Default" or "Passive" mode will not work!
Click "Save" or "Connect".
That's it, you've connected to your web site.
